We have liftoff!

We did it! We managed to launch this project. It seemed like it wasn't going to happen. We had a MAJOR electrical problem with the RV that kept it in the shop until Wednesday. We brought it home, did the last of the packing, and were on the road on Thursday about 10:30 a.m. We spent our first night in Tucumcari, NM where we tested out all the systems and got the "house" operating and feeling like home.

This is what Ed and Finnegan looked like while Susan prepared dinner. It didn't get much better later. We were all exhausted. Getting ready for this journey was more stressful than we had expected.

Right now we are in Dodge City, Kansas. We've enjoyed the historic sights, rested, and unwound. (There was this frantic man in the local jail at the Front Street Historical Museum.) It's a sort of living history museum. This was quite a town 150 years ago...

We will leave on Sunday to meet up with the Steckarts in Wichita. Then on to the Ozarks, Independence, MO, Des Moines, IA, Madison, WI, and anywhere else that strikes our fancy. Life is good...

We won't post too often, but we will keep everyone up on our travels. We've got Skype working, email and cell connections most of the time. We're ALWAYS happy to hear from you.

From our house to yours...lots of love...
